If the past four years haven't shown that Trump is unfit to lead our country, the past week easily has. We know you haven't forgotten, but we'll say it again: Trump incited a white supremacist mob to storm our Capitol, force our elected officials into hiding, and interrupt the democratic turnover of power -- all while claiming that his actions were “totally appropriate.”
You -- along with every other rational American -- know that Trump deserves to lose everything. He should lose the respect of both political parties. He should lose the ability to run for office ever again. He should lose access to all social media platforms. He should lose all his power.
All of this can happen if Trump is convicted by the Senate for his impeachable offenses.
But this demagogue has been impeached before, and the GOP rallied to acquit him. We need to be able to fight like hell in the next few days to make sure Trump's official record reflects his disgrace -- and then fight just as hard for the next two years to make sure that those who continue to stand behind him are stripped of their power as well.
The only problem is our budget.
