Did you catch my State of the State speech yesterday?

I know these speeches typically air at a time that’s tough for most people to tune in. That’s why I wanted to reach out today.

As you’ll see, I highlighted the incredible challenges we faced as a state last year.

We’ve survived the storm. We’re still standing. Georgia is resilient, and we will endure.

While many spent the past year trashing states like ours, I’m proud to report that unlike places like California and New York the Peach State WILL NOT be facing budget cuts this year.

We will continue to invest in economic development to keep Georgia the #1 State for Business;
We will fight to make healthcare accessible and affordable, including the $76 million in my budget to implement Georgia Pathways and Access;
We will prioritize our educators, students, and parents with $647 million to fully fund enrollment growth, and hold schools accountable for enrollment reductions;
And, of course, we will defeat COVID-19 in 2021. I am proud to report that as of Wednesday, 283,000 Georgians have been vaccinated. We still have a long way to go, but we are making steady and significant progress.

It’s time to put 2020 in the rearview and focus on the future of our great state. By working together, we can build a safer, stronger, and healthier Georgia!
