For people in one East African country, that is closed to the message of Jesus, this past year has been absolutely devastating. In addition to COVID-19 they have faced locust plagues of biblical proportion that ravaged crops and destroyed food supplies. They have dealt with alternating periods of drought and flooding — thousands have watched homes literally wash away. Food insecurity is now sweeping across the region.

Recently our staff team serving in the country was able to distribute lifesaving supplies to suffering families and talk with them about Jesus. They shared:

“People were grateful for the aid. The people from this village are very religious and profess [the majority religion], and it is usually very difficult to preach in such places. By the grace of God during several subsequent meetings, we were able to share the hope of Jesus with people.”

Did you know — the contents of one 40 ft. shipping container serve an average of 26,500 suffering people? The packing list for an upcoming shipment includes things like:

  • A 30-day supply of meals for 3,500 people
  • Blankets and sleeping mats to serve 1,020 people
  • Essential items such as clothing, shoes, and school supplies for 11,800 people
  • Medical supplies for 9,200 suffering people
  • Water filters to provide safe, clean water for 525 people
  • Wheelchairs that will impact 560 people

Thank you for your faithful partnership in ministry during these challenging times. Together we are relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and revealing HOPE in the toughest places on earth.
