Dear John,

It’s been a wild few months since the November 3 election. In that time, Trump
has tried every trick in the book to avoid facing accountability and the reality
of his loss, yes -- but also to threaten our planet and all who live here. Donate $10 to Friends of the Earth today and help stop Trump’s attacks on our
environment.

The Trump presidency has been a disaster at just about every level -- including
for our environment. Over the past four years, the Trump administration has
tried to roll back more than 100 environmental protections.

In the chaos since the election, this administration has worked overtime to
force through new, sneaky, last-minute decisions that put our environment and
our entire country at risk -- decisions that would be difficult to overturn even
with a new administration.

Help stop Trump’s last-minute attacks on our environment: Donate $10 or more
now!

[[link removed]]Here are just some of the attacks the Trump administration has launched since
the election:

* Weakening the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 -- including no longer
penalizing the fossil fuel industry for “incidentally” killing migratory
birds
* Opening the pristine Tongass National Forest to logging
* Auctioning off the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to Big Oil
* Fast-tracking other lease sales. In December, the Bureau of Land Management
advanced a plan to extract climate-destroying tar sands oil on 2,100 acres in
northeastern Utah. The Bureau also opened leases for oil drilling on 4,100
acres of federal land in Sequoia National Park

Help us keep fighting Trump and Big Polluters’ destructive attacks, and push the
Biden administration to do better. Rush a $10 donation to Friends of the Earth.

[[link removed]]The next four years aren’t going to be easy. We will need to reverse dangerous
policies, restore, rebuild, and improve on critical protections, and
aggressively make up for lost time on climate change, extinction, and other
interconnected crises. Even after Trump leaves office, Big Polluters and the
politicians beholden to them will continue to do their dirty work.

We’re working hard to stop these last desperate attacks on our public lands, and
the wildlife and communities that rely on them. But we will also be pushing the
new Biden Administration, from Day 1, to reverse the harms this last
administration has wrought. We heard a lot of climate promises during the
campaign. We need the incoming president to use every lever of power available
to tackle the climate crisis.

Tell the Biden administration to do what science demands for our climate and
environment. Support our work with a $10 donation.

[[link removed]]At Friends of the Earth, we have a plan to make sure that happens. We will
support climate champions for key positions in the next administration. We will
support legislation, file lawsuits, work with Congress and the administration
where we can, and stand with impacted communities every step of the way. In
short, we will fight to increase safeguards and protections for America’s public
lands and communities most impacted by environmental destruction.

We are up against steep odds, from entrenched corporate power to a climate
crisis that worsens month by month. But we were built for this moment. We have
the strategy, the vision, and the power we need to build a better world. We are
a movement, and we’re growing every day. With members like you by our side, I
can’t help but be filled with hope.

There’s a lot we don’t know about these next few years. But one thing is
absolutely certain: Friends of the Earth will be standing with you, on the front
lines of the most important fights of our time. We will be fighting to protect
our planet and all of us who call it home.

Stand together to protect our Earth and rebuild stronger than ever. Make a $10
donation to Friends of the Earth.
