Statement From One Nation Leader Senator Pauline Hanson
The removal of Donald Trump from social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram outraged many conservative followers over the past week.
During Trump’s time as President, I have no doubt he has purposely ridden a fine line when using social media platforms, particularly Twitter.
His detractors and media commentators have sought headlines from some of the most innocuous posts while having a field day with some of his deliberate and inflammatory statements.
But has the de-platforming of Trump finally forced people to open their eyes and realise we are all slowly but surely being de-platformed or forced down a path against our will?
As 1600 new coal-fired powered stations are at various stages of construction across the globe, Australia’s coal-related industries are being refused finance and indemnity insurance. It’s just another attempt to de-industrialise and de-platform 40,000 jobs in Australia’s second-largest minerals export industry.
If you take away the capacity for any business related to the thermal coal industry to borrow money or insure their workers, you starve the industry of service providers and expertise, leading to its inevitable death.
The way I see it is politicians have lost the ability to control our own markets and instead big businesses are making the decisions for us.
Qantas CEO, Alan Joyce suggested compulsory vaccination before passengers could travel on the countries flagship airline. Again, big business dictating the direction of health policy over politicians and the individual rights of a person.
Channel Nine cancelled my weekly appearance on the Today Show following statements I had made relating to the public housing lockdown across Melbourne during the first wave of coronavirus cases in Victoria. I had simply restated comments already made by Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews.
Daring to argue on national television for the removal of at-risk indigenous kids from their alcoholic / drug dependant or deviant families will see you faced with a date in front of the Human Rights Council and the possibility of losing your home.
And let’s not forget how politicians have carelessly or deliberately (I’m not quite convinced on which one) committed Australia to United Nations and destructive Free Trade Agreements that are costing us jobs and slowly eroding our Sovereignty.
If you find yourself worried to say what you truly think out of fear of what repercussions might come your way - you're not alone. We are all being stifled and de-platformed regardless of whether you're a social media user or not.
