[[link removed]]PETA TO NIH: ANIMALS FEEL PAIN AND JOY—STOP TESTING ON THEM
[{CAMPAIGNPAGE_URL~63648~[link removed]}]
Pigs engage in complex play and can understand the perspective of other sentient
beings, yet experimenters cut and burn their skin as if they were objects. Rats
show empathy and altruism just like humans, but in laboratories, they’re
mutilated and injected with chemicals. The evidence is overwhelming: Animals
experience emotions ranging from joy and happiness to deep sadness and grief, so
why is the National Institutes of Health (NIH) still funding experiments on
them?

[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]

Iditarod mushers have criminal histories, but even mushers with clean records
may force dogs to run to their deaths. Help PETA call the Iditarod out.

[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]
PETA has put together a list of animal-derived clothing to avoid when shopping
so that you can have a completely compassionate closet in 2021. If you have wool
sweaters, leather shoes, or other items made from animals that you don’t want,
don’t throw them out. Instead, donate them to a local shelter to help those in
need. Share the post on Instagram

[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]
Monkeys, rats, and millions of other animals tortured in experiments don’t have
a choice. Pigs, chickens, and other animals slaughtered for food don’t have a
choice. Snakes and crocodiles killed for their skin don’t have a choice. Orcas
and other dolphins forced to spend their lives in cramped tanks don’t have a
choice, but you do—here’s how you can help.

[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]
A monkey named Dorothy spent more than 20 years in laboratories before her body
finally gave out. At the Washington National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC),
humans immobilized her in a chair for several hours each day, denied her food
and water, and exploited her through her last days.

FASCINATING FACT:
Rabbits typically have many babies and dig complex tunnel systems called
warrens, where they live with their families. Some warrens are as large as
tennis courts and as deep as 10 feet! They connect different rooms that rabbits
use for activities such as eating and sleeping—much like our own kitchens and
bedrooms.
