John,
Yesterday, a majority of my colleagues and I in the House voted to impeach Trump for the second time.
I was proud to vote yes for impeachment and share why it’s so critical we remove the “white supremacist-in-chief.” If we fail to remove a white supremacist president, who incited a white supremacist insurrection, it will be a failure to deliver on Congress’s mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives. It’s communities like Missouri’s 1st District that will suffer the most. Republicans reacted by BOOING me on the House floor.
What does it say when they boo the Black congresswoman denouncing white supremacy? Well they can boo, yell, complain all they want — I’m not backing down one bit, John.
What happened yesterday was a vivid reminder of how much work is still ahead of us to make our democracy work for all of us. Even though we succeeded in impeaching Trump again, we must continue to dismantle the widespread forces of white supremacy and build a multi-racial democracy that lifts up all of our communities.
If you’re ready to rise up with me in this fight, will you show your support and make a donation to our campaign? Every dollar you give helps us remain focused on legislating, holding Republicans accountable, and building our people-first movement. [[link removed]]

Thank you for all of your support. I know this isn’t the first or last time I will ruffle some feathers in Congress — but we will make our voices heard, no matter who tries to silence us.
In solidarity,
Cori
