Public service is dear to my family. It's something that we prioritize, because each and every one of us is lifted up by our shared efforts.
And it's in this spirit of service that I want you to be among the first to know: my wife, Laurie Cremona Wagner, is running for the Portland Community College (PCC) Board of Directors.
Get all the details and get involved with her campaign over at LaurieForPCC.com.
Like me, Laurie comes from a family of teachers, and believes that everyone should have access to a quality education and career training.
She has already had a tremendous impact during her career in education and the high tech industry, passionately advocating for workforce training and building futures for countless families. At PCC, Laurie serves as the co-chair of the Business Advisory Committee, working directly with businesses and connecting students with career opportunities.
That's why Governor Kate Brown appointed Laurie to the Oregon Workforce Talent and Development Board. And that spirit is also at the heart of Laurie's service on the board of Clackamas Women's Services, where she fights for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
She'll bring that energy and drive to PCC, where she'll prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion and get to work right away fighting for our children, our communities, and our future.
The election is this May, in just four months. Please join Laurie in this effort: visit LaurieForPCC.com and learn more about how you can get involved and support her campaign.
I'm so proud of Laurie, and I'm sure her hard work is going to make a tremendous difference for all of us who count on PCC.
Rob
