Yesterday, in a bipartisan vote, the House of Representatives impeached President Donald Trump after he incited a mob that ultimately stormed the U.S. Capitol in hopes of overturning the results of a democratically held election.
For the past four years, Donald Trump and his Republican enablers have peddled conspiracy theories, sought to undermine our democracy, and only served their self-interests. But this move last week was beyond the pale and threatened our democracy in a way we hadn’t seen before.
It’s clear Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses. We shouldn’t have to wait — he must be held accountable now to send a clear signal that this behavior won’t be tolerated.

The sitting President of the United States has clearly broken his oath to defend the Constitution and failed to do right by our democracy and the American people.
