John —
It is a known fact that the insurrectionists at the Capitol last week wore
anti-Semetic messages on their clothing, crafted nooses outside the
Capitol building, carried Confederate flags, and several of those involved
were caught with lists or messages targeting Black and Muslim lawmakers.
After introducing a resolution calling for the expulsion of Republicans
who supported the white supremacists who stormed the Capitol, Cori Bush
took to the House floor ahead of Wednesday’s historic impeachment vote to
condemn white supremacy.
Republican leadership attempted to interrupt her and silence her with a
loud chorus of boos.
Cori organized for justice in the face of violence in St. Louis and served
her community as a frontline healthcare worker for years — We’re proud to
have supported her, proud to continue supporting her, and proud to have
her back.
