The violence in our nation’s capital — carried out by an angry mob of armed white supremacists — was an attack on our country, our people, and all of the rights and freedoms we hold dear. This is what treason looks like.

This attempted coup is a direct result of Trump stoking fear, spreading disinformation, and emboldening anti-democratic white supremacists. That’s why he was impeached yesterday — and that’s why he must be convicted by the Senate.

We must demand the Senate CONVICT Trump and remove EVERY Republican responsible for inciting these attacks on our democracy.

Impeaching and convicting Trump will prevent him from holding federal office again — a critical step to restoring our democracy and ensuring that someone who stokes white supremacy and violence can’t hold federal office.
