Last week was a truly scary time for our democracy. As Sharice and her colleagues sought to fulfill their constitutional duty to uphold the results of the election, dangerous insurgents attacked the very building that houses our democracy.

While his supporters stormed the Capitol, attacked police officers, and threatened lawmakers, Donald Trump did nothing to stymie the violence and used language that actively incited more.
