John,
Thank you for your interest in The Trust for Public Land. We are excited that you care about creating parks and protecting public lands for people, and we invite you to join us as an official member so we can send you our new 2021 membership card!
John, as the year begins, many members of The Trust for Public Land are renewing their support, and now is the perfect time to act on your commitment to create parks and protect public lands for people by making your first gift today.

As our nation begins a hopeful and healing new chapter in its relationship with our parks and public lands, your membership gift today will help us get to work on a long list of urgent needs, including:
- Helping our Federal Affairs team in D.C. pursue important priorities, starting with reversing two million acres of protected land rollbacks in Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments.
- Ensuring that every American has a park or open space within a 10-minute walk of home, something that 100 million people in the U.S., including 28 million children, do not have.
- Advancing the Climate-Smart Cities™ initiative to make communities more equitable, livable, and resilient to increased wildfires, hurricanes, and other devastating effects of climate change.
In 2020, support from members and supporters like you helped The Trust for Public Land work wonders despite immense challenges … permanently protecting Fishers Peak as Colorado’s newest state park, securing $900 million every year, always, for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), and protecting the iconic Zion Narrows Trail in Utah forever.
But 2021 is underway, and we have a lot more work to do, including protecting one million acres of land and building 1,000 miles of trails for people to get outdoors — goals we’ve set to achieve by 2025 — but only with your help.
John, that is why we are wondering: Can we count on your support as a member this year?
Sincerely,
Kim Elliot
Senior Director of Annual Giving
P.S. We wouldn’t ask if it weren’t so important. Thank you for taking this opportunity to start 2021 by becoming a member of The Trust for Public Land today.
