Should the 'Star Spangled Banner' be REMOVED as America's National Anthem?
With Confederate monuments toppling across America and racist historical figures being re-examined there's a push to change America's National Anthem.
There's growing momentum from some historians and musicians to remove the "Star Spangled Banner" as America's National Anthem and replace it with "American the Beautiful", John Lennon’s “Imagine” or some other song.
This is due to the fact that Francis Scott Key, the author of the "Star Spangled Banner", was a slaveholder and some of the lyrics are considered racist, sexist or elitist.
