JOE BIDEN’S INAUGURATION

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has created a website to share updates about Inaugural events and ways to engage with the Inauguration themed, "Our Determined Democracy: Forging a More Perfect Union." The committee is working to honor the American inaugural traditions and engage Americans across the country while keeping everybody healthy and safe. Visit
https://bideninaugural.org for more information.

Tickets to attend the inaugural ceremony, which is under the purview of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC), may be requested through your U.S. Senator or Congressional member. The number of tickets per office, which has yet to be announced, will be very limited. Each Member of Congress gives out their allotment in a different manner, with some offices even instituting lotteries as a means of assigning tickets.

BIDEN-HARRIS INAUGURAL INITIATIVE FOOD DRIVE

The President and Vice President Elect are asking that Democratic Organizations help alleviate "food insufficiency" by donating to Food Banks to help the many who are struggling to survive the impacts of the pandemic.  The Democrats of Indian River family of the Democratic Executive Committee, the Democratic Women’s Club and the Democratic Club of Indian River are answering the call as part of the President’s Inauguration Committee’s National Day of Service and the Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday.

When family finances are thin, niceties such as personal hygiene products may become extravagances that must wait or be eliminated for a time.  So, in addition to food (please include condiments), we are asking that you also contribute hygiene products.

Donations can be dropped off on Friday, January 15th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Democratic Executive Committee Office:  2345 14th Ave. #7, Vero Beach, FL 32960

  • Claudia Martino: 516 Melrose Ln., Sebastian, FL 32958

  • Canned goods will be collected at the Gifford Historical Museum, 2880 45th St. (just past Gifford Middle School) on Monday, January 18th. The hours of collection will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Please consider contributing to these events.
