The New York Times: “A grim reality has begun to dawn on Capitol Hill: The riot [last week] may have started a coronavirus superspreader event, fueled by the mob that roamed through the halls of Congress and unmasked Republicans who jammed into cloistered secure rooms.”
Even as Republican lawmakers condemned the violence outside their doors, they were still carelessly putting the lives of their congressional colleagues in danger.
Our officials thought they were safe when the violent mob dissipated -- but their lives are still in danger due to Republican recklessness. We need to consolidate support for science and safety, so we're asking now:
