John -- Congresswoman Cori Bush stood on the floor today and said what millions of Americans are thinking: 

"If we fail to remove a white supremacist president who incited a white supremacist insurrection, it’s communities like Missouri’s 1st District that suffer the most. The 117th Congress must understand that we have a mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives,” Congresswoman Cori Bush said. “The first step in this process is to root out white supremacy starting with impeaching the white-supremacist-in-chief.”

Despite boos from Republican members of the House, Cori's message is loud and clear. Congress MUST unequivocally take action that holds the Administration accountable. This legacy of white supremacy CANNOT be tolerated.

This week Congresswoman Bush also released a resolution that called for Republicans who aided and stoked the flames that led to the insurrection on the Capitol, to be expelled from Congress. 

In her first few weeks in office Congresswoman Bush is already showing us what happens when regular working people have a platform to speak! This is exactly why we need more activists and organizers in Congress.
