Team,

This morning, the American people got their first peek into the call between Donald Trump and the Ukrainian president.

The White House confirmed what we knew all along: Donald Trump explicitly asked a foreign government to investigate one of his political opponents.

He pressed the president of Ukraine to investigate his political rival. Not to mention, at the same time he was withholding crucial aid.

If you're as outraged as I am that our president is undermining our national security and tearing at the fabric of our democracy, add your name next to mine in calling for the impeachment proceedings of Donald Trump. Here's a link to the petition:

This is not a partisan talking point. This is about the moral leadership that the highest office of the land represents.

When I joined the Senate six years ago, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I would bear true faith and allegiance to the same. Donald Trump also took an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.

Donald Trump has corrupted the office of the presidency since the beginning, and today the White House produced evidence of a recent and vivid instance of the president undermining our democracy.

These are unprecedented times, but one thing is certain -- we must take action to protect the rule of law and uphold our oath to the Constitution.

Sign your name here if you agree that it's time to start impeachment proceedings.

If we are a people without faith in our laws, we cannot be a people united.
