Our schools are under attack. The GOP wants Fairfax County to go back to the 1960s and they’ve launched an insidious attack on our school board candidates to begin the fight. We can’t let them win.
At recent board meetings and candidate forums, angry Republicans are yelling at our Democratic-endorsed candidates and members, making accusations of "social engineering" and attacking immigrant children, all because of the idea that we want to include equity as one of the many considerations when formulating policy.
Meanwhile, GOP candidates for School Board are visiting a white nationalist's radio show, complaining that we're losing our "Eurocentric history," openly endorsing Trump's cruelty, pledging to divert funds away from public schools, and more.
Here's how you can fight back: Come out to one of the upcoming candidate forums or debates to show your support for our Democratic-endorsed candidates.
