The Washington Post: “The same Republicans who pushed the lies that President-elect Joe Biden did not win now demand Democrats refrain from impeaching Trump for the sake of ‘unity.'”

After inciting one of the deadliest attacks on the U.S. Capitol with their baseless claims of electoral fraud, Republicans are demanding that Democrats allow Trump to finish his term in the name of unity.

We agree that this is a time for unity -- but not the kind the GOP suggests. This is a time to be united against fascism, white supremacy, political violence, and those who would destroy our democracy for political favor.
