Today was an unprecedented day.
For a second time, I voted to impeach the President of the United States. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.
The foundation of our democracy was shaken last week — and it’s because of Donald Trump’s actions. He incited violence, plain and simple.
I’m proud to stand up for myself, family, our district, and the American people — including the two officers who have passed away as a result of last week’s attack, Howard Liebengood and New Jersey son Brian Sicknick.
We are deeply divided as a nation, and the only way we can heal is by demanding accountability.
Last week we saw the worst of America, but as I see it, today we’re seeing the best. We’re coming together as a bipartisan majority and saying “enough is enough.”
But we can’t stop there. I implore my colleagues in the Senate to stand up for the American people and our democracy in the coming days as the Article of Impeachment is sent over.
I’m honored to be your representative, and I thank you for your support during this time.
Yours,
Josh
