Today, I voted to impeach President Donald Trump.

This wasn’t a choice I took lightly, but I could not sit back and allow Donald Trump to get away with the violence he incited.

President Trump holds the most powerful office in the country — and he’s already done irreparable damage to our Democracy.

But his role in the violent attack on our Capitol Building proves that he cannot be allowed to remain in power for another minute.

Taking a stand isn’t always easy — and it comes with consequences. Voting to impeach the president will make me a top target among Republicans looking to oust progressives from Congress.
