Demand corporate donors and PACs stop donating to members of Congress who voted to overturn the election results.

John,
Throughout the Trump presidency―and even through this past week where we’ve seen a violent insurrection on the U.S. Capitol and the second impeachment of Donald Trump―many Republicans continue to put party ahead of their Oath of Office. On the same day that they were forced to shelter in their offices while a violent insurrection violated the Capitol, 147 Republicans voted to overturn the Presidential election results.
If an attack on our democracy and our sacred institutions won’t get their attention, there’s one thing that will: money.
Right now, there’s a growing movement demanding that corporate donors stop supporting members of Congress who sided with the violent mob by voting to overturn the results of Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory.
Sign the petition to all corporate donors and PACs to immediately end their financial support of 147 Republican members of Congress who have put their own political self-interests ahead of their country and their Oath of Office.
Republicans consistently put the bidding of their Wall Street masters above the needs of the people. They sold their souls to Trump in exchange for 3 right-wing Supreme Court Justices and a rigged tax code that favors corporations and the rich―including relentless attacks on our beloved Social Security system.
Republicans have wrapped themselves in the American flag, claiming to support conservative ideology. But the only ideology they truly understand is greed and power. That’s why corporate America turning off the money spigot is the best way to rein in their authoritarian impulses.
Join Social Security Works and our allies in calling on all corporate donors and PACs to immediately stop funding the 147 Republican members of Congress who voted to overturn the will of the people, siding with a violent insurrectionist mob over their Oath of Office.
Let’s be real: We need to get corporate money out of politics entirely. But at a moment of crisis, the potential loss of millions of dollars in contributions is one of the only ways to really get Republicans’ attention. This strategy is already working―and together, we can end it for good!
In solidarity,
Alex Lawson Social Security Works
