"Lift up your eyes to the heavens. Look at the earth beneath; The heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment... but my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail."- Isaiah 51:6

Last week, we came to you live from the National Mall, which--just a day later--became the backdrop for one of the most shocking scenes in American history. A lot has happened since that horrible day, when violence stormed through the doors of the U.S. Capitol, shaking our nation to its very core. It was a devastating moment for our country, at a time when we could least afford it.

This is a defining chapter. How you and I respond will have a lot to do with whether a heart-broken, hurting, and frustrated people find the healing we are all desperate for. One thing is for sure--we won't find it in smashed windows or bloody confrontations. We will find it in one place--and one place alone--and that is Jesus Christ.

I invite you to join me tonight at 8 p.m. ET, along with Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, Pastor Carter Conlon of Times Square Church, and Dr. Kelvin Cochran of Elizabeth Baptist Church at prayvotestand.org, as we humble ourselves in prayer for this nation, our leaders, and the church. As bleak as things may look, God is still on His throne. And if heaven isn't shaken, we shouldn't be either.

Standing (Eph. 6:13),
