Dear John,

Yesterday Donald Trump made his way down to Texas, unbeknownst to the host town. That’s right - Alamo, Texas had no idea that Trump would be going there.

Desperate to get away from the mess he’s left in Washington DC, Trump came down to our state for reasons that are still not clear to us. He spoke a lot about the “success” of his border wall. Does he mean this wall that’s only had 47 miles added to it?

Trump then attempted to skirt away from the insurrection on January 6th and barely addressed the actions of his supporters, only mentioning that he believes in respecting America’s history and traditions, “not tearing them down”. Perhaps he should have tweeted that to his supporters before the internet gave him the boot...

One thing he could not stop himself from bringing up was the migrant caravans coming towards the United States. When in doubt, blame immigrants — that’s the classic Trump calling card.

At home in Texas, we've seen the very real effects that Trump’s rhetoric have had before the insurrection in Washington happened last week. Texans will never forget the domestic terrorist attack at Walmart that occurred against El Paso’s large Latino community. I’m glad that Trump’s rally didn’t incite another attack on Texans, but enough is enough.

I’ve been working hard, along with our Congressional leadership, to make sure this next impeachment really does remove Trump from office. Our country is not safe with him at the helm. Do you agree that Trump should be impeached?

⚠️ If you agree that Congress must move forward with preventing Trump from ever holding federal office again, pitch in a few bucks to our team's Trump impeachment fund. ⚠️

Thanks for having our backs,

Marc
