Dear John,

Recently, I had the chance to speak with advocates, experts and leaders on the frontlines of Michigan’s health care system.

Like them, I strongly believe that health care is a fundamental human right.

Making sure every Michigan family has access to that right starts with stopping efforts to repeal or rip apart the Affordable Care Act. But it doesn’t stop there. We need to lower the cost of prescription drugs and finally let Medicare negotiate prices on behalf of seniors. We should also ensure that our communities have everything they need to treat mental health and addiction.

I promise to continue leading on these urgent health care issues and more every day in the Senate.
