Team --

As you may know, the new COVID-19 package was recently signed
into law -- and I am relieved that we will finally provide some
relief to the American people.

The provisions in this new bill provide direct checks to adults
and eligible dependents, resources for rental assistance, aid to
small businesses, expanded weekly unemployment benefits, funding
for vaccines and distribution, and more. While I know it doesn't
fully meet the needs we face after 10 months of this pandemic,
it's an important first step in the right direction.

This agreement was long overdue, but after months of stalling
by Mitch McConnell and the GOP -- the American people will be
getting direct stimulus checks.

I will continue to push for more relief. You can check on the

like you at such a critical time!

As a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, I fought hard to
reach a bipartisan solution, and now we're getting one. I'm eager
to continue this work alongside Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the
117th Congress in 2021 as the new Vice Chair for Policy of the New
Democrat Coalition.

This relief bill is one part of the solution, but a crucial one
to provide real help to families across America. I support what
we've accomplished, and I'll keep fighting for you every day.
With control of the Senate still to be determined by Georgia's
runoff races, we have to be prepared to work with anyone to get
things done -- and that's exactly what I'll do.
