John,

The climate crisis demands that we move away from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy. And with the incoming administration, we have a renewed opportunity to do just that.

President-elect Biden has the power to take bold, immediate climate action starting on day one of his presidency by permanently banning fracking and stopping new fossil fuel extraction on public lands. We demand a new era in the climate fight by taking on the fossil fuel industry directly.

Take action: Tell President-elect Biden to take executive action to protect the planet from further climate disaster — start by banning fracking on public lands.

Fracking is deadly. It’s an extreme and dangerous way of extracting oil and gas that causes water contamination, air pollution, earthquakes, and massive amounts of methane leakage. There is no question fracking devastates lands, harms wildlife, and hurts people and communities, but Big Oil & Gas has been allowed — and even encouraged by its political enablers — to continue to do just that.

It is outrageous and irresponsible to expand fracking and drilling on public lands. Enough is enough. The inherent danger of fracking means that no set of regulations can ever make it safe for public health or the environment. Banning fracking on public lands is a no-brainer; we need President-elect Biden to act decisively and immediately when he takes office on January 20.

Send a message today: Urge President-elect Biden to ban fracking on public lands to protect the climate and public health.

Public Lands Must Be Fracking-Free!

Food & Water Watch helped introduce the first bill to ban fracking on federal lands. And as we bring more and more people together to demand real action against fracking, we're ramping up our national campaign to ban fracking public lands and nationwide.

President-elect Biden has a huge opportunity to stand on the right side of history by banning fracking and averting further climate chaos. It’s time for the new administration to take real action to protect our environment. That starts with all of us demanding change and holding the president-elect accountable for his promises!

YOU have the power to protect families and communities from reckless, dangerous drilling. Together, we can push for the climate future we all deserve. Join me in urging President-elect Biden to take the bold climate action we need to address the climate crisis. He can start by banning fracking on public lands.
