For months, Republicans emboldened far-right extremists, encouraging them to overturn the legitimate election result. Now, Rep. Cori Bush (MO-1) is making one thing clear: “we need to hold our Republican colleagues accountable for what we feel is an attack on our democracy.”

In Bush's words, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and the rest of Donald Trump's enablers all but invited the attack on the Capitol, one that led five Americans to lose their lives and now “blood is on their hands.”

Bush has introduced legislation to investigate and expel the GOP members who sought to overturn the results of the election.

Eight Republican senators and 139 House Republicans objected to the electoral college results even after the violent insurrection that took place in the Capitol.
