This year we’re positive that our Democratic AGs are going to give families, communities, and our country so much to be hopeful for.
How are we so confident about the work that Dem AGs will do in 2021?!
Just look at what they did in 2020:
Defending Democracy
Dem AGs pushed back on attempts to restrict voting rights and the expansion of vote-by-mail. Dem AGs were successful in the battleground states in stopping efforts to undermine the will of American voters.
Protecting the USPS
When President Trump & USPS head Louis DeJoy attacked the U.S. Postal Service, Dem AGs across the country stepped up to protect USPS and mail delivery. Their legal action led to reversals of harmful policies that delayed needed mail delivery & helped make sure that every vote counted!
Fighting for Reproductive Rights
When Republican AGs tried to use the Coronavirus pandemic to weaken reproductive rights, Dem AGs took a stand and fought back in perhaps one of the biggest cases before the U.S. Supreme Court regarding reproductive rights and access to abortion. After winning the case, Dem AGs pledged to counter extremists who continue their attacks on reproductive freedom.
Calling for Police Reform
As the People’s Lawyers across the country, Dem AGs hear the demands for change and accountability in policing. Democratic AGs stand united in their commitment to fight for justice and equality to the fullest extent. That’s why Dem AGs in many states led conversations and took action to improve policing in their communities.
And these are just a few examples of the amazing work done by Dem AGs in the past year to help their communities!
We’re excited to see the work that Democratic AGs will do all across our nation.
