Make no mistake -- last week's failed insurrection was the direct result of President Trump's repeated attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

For the past four years, Donald Trump has fanned the flames of hatred and division with his lies and propaganda. He is a clear and present danger to our national security, and he must be immediately removed from office by any legal means available.

That's why I joined over 200 of my House colleagues in co-sponsoring the article of impeachment against President Trump for the incitement of insurrection. We must ensure that he is removed from power and disqualified from holding office again.

Though Trump and his Republican enablers in Congress may have abandoned their oaths to support and defend our Constitution -- I will not. They will be held accountable.
