Democrats have officially WON back the Senate!
This victory is LONG overdue, and it proves that Georgia is officially in play. Because of historic levels of organizing and voter turnout, the Black vote in Georgia has -- yet again -- shifted the tides for Democrats.
This election wasn’t only about flipping the Senate, it was also about the emergent New South -- a movement where we see communities throughout the South overcoming generations of voter suppression.
We owe this victory to the organizers on the ground, knocking on doors, and phone-banking for hours on end to make sure every vote was cast and protected on January 5th.
Now, with a Democratic Senate, nothing stands in our way of making sure Americans have the resources and support they need to overcome this pandemic.
We finally can pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act to restore voting protections for communities across Alabama that were gutted by a Supreme Court decision. We finally have a shot at providing Americans the quality healthcare, education, and housing they deserve. And with the inauguration around the corner, the days ahead are looking brighter and brighter.
We’re continuing the work of mobilizing, engaging, and protecting new voters in the Deep South here in Alabama’s 7th Congressional District, and we’re asking for your help to build on this momentum. So, we’re humbly asking you: Will you chip in to help Terri’s fight to end voter suppression and ensure EVERY voice is heard?
Thank you for everything. We couldn’t have gotten here without you.
