The president’s actions have proven that every day that Donald Trump remains in office — in charge of our Army and our nuclear arsenal — our country remains in danger. It is the job of Congress to set a precedent that this behavior from a president is unacceptable, and so we must act now.
That’s why Alexandria joined the resolution calling for the 25th amendment to be invoked tonight, and if it is not, then Congress will immediately reconvene tomorrow morning for impeachment and removal proceedings.
It’s time that Pence does the right thing by holding Donald Trump accountable for the violence he has incited and the division he has spurned in our nation.
