Circuit Court of Appeals ruled to stay Lisa Montgomery’s execution, and ordered a new hearing, which would take place after President Trump leaves office, giving the new Biden administration the opportunity to spare Montgomery’s life. (President-Elect Biden has said he is in support of abolishing the federal death penalty.)
