Colorado GOP's Vera Ortegon Elected to Serve on RNC Executive Committee
Colorado's Republican National Committeewoman, Vera Ortegon, was elected to serve on the RNC Executive Committee representing the Western Region of the United States.
Vera has been a strong and effective leader for Republicans here in Colorado for many years. Her new position on the RNC's Executive Committee sets Vera up to bring our Colorado values and vision to the forefront of planning the Republican Party's future.
We are so pleased that Vera was selected to serve in this capacity and look forward to working with her to advocate for Colorado Republicans in the years to come.
Rep. Buck: Our Constitution Demands Better Than This
[link removed]
Townhall ([link removed]) : Political leaders come and go, but our Constitution and our commitment to its principles should not be forfeited during this intensely partisan division within our country.
I join millions of Americans today in praying for our nation. We must ensure the peaceful transfer of power, once again.
An impeachment at this moment, less than two weeks before our new president will be sworn into office, is a disgrace to our Constitution, to the American people, and to the institutions we cherish.

** Paul Lundeen: What will the pandemic teach us?
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Colorado Springs Gazette ([link removed]) : Vaccines (two types now and more coming soon) are being administered to those who choose. Hospitalization trends in Colorado, including demand for ICU beds, continue to look good.
So the question is, are we willing to put on our pandemic glasses and learn from what we’ve seen? Are we willing to sustain tax holidays that help support small businesses and sweep away regulations that prevent job creation? Are we willing to make course corrections in public education that guide resources directly to students who are most in need?
It's time for us members of the Colorado General Assembly to roll up our sleeves, put on our masks (for the time being), and get to work building better policy based on what we’ve learned from the crisis of 2020.

------------------------------------------------------------

Fox News: ([link removed]) Republican National Committee ([link removed]) (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel ([link removed]) on Friday was unanimously reelected to steer the GOP’s national party committee for another two years.
In a speech to the RNC committee members who reelected her and other top GOP officials, McDaniel vowed to help the Republican Party regain the House and Senate majorities in the 2022 midterms and had a warning, saying: "Democrats, get ready, buckle your seatbelts. We’re coming."

** Brauchler: We should not only encourage the prosecution of those who rioted at the U.S. Capitol, but celebrate it
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Denver Post: () What took place on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at our U.S. Capitol was more than a reprehensible affront to how our democracy and government should work; it was criminal. Those involved in rioting, violence, and breaching the U.S. Capitol should be thoroughly investigated and vigorously prosecuted. Full stop.
We must not only encourage but celebrate the prosecution and bringing to justice of those engaged in deliberate and public lawlessness in our nation’s Capitol. The message to future generations, as well as to the world, must be that the best-equipped country on the planet for the peaceful transfer of power has zero tolerance for those groups and individuals who will attack its democratic institutions when driven to rage over the outcome of an election.

** ‘Homeless Mike’ Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman Goes Undercover To Live On The Streets, Sleep On Sidewalks With The Homeless
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
CBS 4 Denver: ([link removed]) Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman ([link removed]) added a new title to his resume last week — Homeless Mike. The Marine Corps veteran and former state treasurer, secretary of state and congressman, went undercover for a week to live among the homeless in Aurora and Denver.
For seven days and nights, Coffman stayed in shelters and encampments, sleeping under a tarp in temperatures that dipped into the teens. CBS4 caught up with him at times and shot video from a distance.
“I think this is a really hard problem,” he told Boyd before he left. “And I don’t think a lot of policymakers like myself understand it. … I think there’s so many questions — Where’s their income? How do they exist? And what is the profile of people in homeless encampments?”
