I can't overstate the seriousness of President Trump's role in the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last week.

After the election didn't turn out in his favor, Trump, in his own words, repeatedly perpetuated false claims of voter fraud and riled up his supporters in anger in response to those baseless allegations, telling them to "walk down Pennsylvania Avenue" and "take back our country."

I want to be very clear: These are impeachable offenses.

That's why I signed on as cosponsor of a resolution that would begin impeachment proceedings against Trump for inciting an insurrection.

Trump's actions directly threatened our national security, and for that, Congress should use all powers at its disposal to hold Trump accountable, and as Congressman for Maryland's 2nd District, that's what I intend to do.

As an active and engaged member of our grassroots community, I need to know where you stand on this important moment in our country's history. If you agree Trump should be held accountable for his actions, add your name and join my call for impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
