Friend, we’ve got a strong team to keep Canada moving forward.
Congratulations to Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport; François‑Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry; Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Jim Carr, Cabinet Minister and Special Representative for the Prairies, on their new appointments.
Together, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team will continue our important work to build a Canada that is healthier and safer, cleaner and more competitive, fairer and more equal – for everyone.
These changes followed the announcement by Navdeep Bains that he is stepping down from Cabinet to spend more time with his family. First elected in 2004, he has been an integral part of our team – and we are incredibly thankful for his dedication and public service. Liberals across the country are grateful for his long record of leadership on behalf of Mississauga—Malton and for his tireless work to build a better future for all Canadians.
As Parliament resumes at the end of this month, our Liberal team will continue to work with provinces, territories, municipalities and Indigenous communities to deliver crucial support, protect people’s health, and ensure our economy is ready to come roaring back. By supporting people, communities, and small businesses through this crisis, we will build a stronger, more resilient Canada for everyone.
If you’re able, chip in now to show your support for Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team, and help ensure a strong start to 2021.
