John -

Do you know what the first thought Senator Susan Collins had when a mob of violent Trump supporters descended on the capitol last week? That there was a threat from “the Iranians.”

Yeah, we’re 100% serious.

This was no random attack. Overwhelming online evidence shows that Trump’s rabid, right-wing following had been planning this attack on Washington for weeks, prompted by the sitting president’s outrageous efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

With red-hatted, MAGA-shouting, confederate flag-wielding insurrectionists being whipped into a frenzy by the President outside the U.S. Capitol, why would Collins’ first instinct be to fear "the Iranians"?

We want an apology. Sign our petition demanding she apologizing for misrepresenting our community >>

Susan Collins’s concerning mischaracterization is unfortunately part of a long history of misunderstanding and demonization that has real consequences for the Iranian American community.

We cannot let these sorts of comments which perpetuate dangerous stereotypes and dehumanization go unchecked.

📌 Take Action: Demand Collins apologize for misrepresenting our community >>

Thank you, John.
