Fantastic news! We’ve got the Labour Party signed up to the campaign to keep our NHS out of a trade deal by introducing new legislation to end privatisation.

That second bit is key.

Most politicians agree that we don’t want the NHS on the table in a US trade deal, but to really protect it, we need to get private companies out of our NHS altogether.

We’ve been working hard with our campaign partnersKeep Our NHS Public ([link removed]) to make sure Labour is saying the right thing on the NHS.

At Labour party conference these last few days, we nabbed lots of key MPs and shadow ministers - Jon Ashworth ([link removed]) , John McDonnell ([link removed]) , Emily Thornberry ([link removed]) , Andy McDonald ([link removed]) , Laura Pidcock ([link removed]) AND Green MP Caroline Lucas ([link removed]) - to get their support for the campaign.

Now Labour has officially backed our campaign.

Shadow health secretary Jon Ashworth’s office says they will be telling all Labour MPs to sign up to it – we’re going to be lobbying hard with you to make sure they do.

SO WHAT NEXT?

Now we make this even bigger. We get this campaign on the Tory agenda.

We got back to the office to find that hundreds of you have generously donated to fund polling on our NHS and trade deals. THANK YOU so much!

We’re two-thirds of the way to our target of £3000.

If we reach it, we can show the Tories that the public won't buy their lies on the NHS.
