Dear John,
Our city is at a crossroads. Portland is changing, far faster than many would like. Will our city be recognizable in five years? Can I afford to live here next year? What will happen to our schools, our roads, our longstanding businesses? I hear all of these questions.
Our choices for mayor are as clear as the questions we're asking about the city. Portland needs to make progress against so many important priorities: growth and development, housing, funding for education, shelter for the homeless, and property taxes, just to name a few! We need solutions that address the priorities common among our many neighborhoods and demographics; not promises and words that divide us.
I'm ready to dig in and get to work on the issues. No politics or soap boxes. Just bringing people to the table fairly, listening to all sides, and working with the Council and City Staff toward outcomes that address our biggest issues.
With just six short weeks to go, I'm asking for your continued investment in my campaign. Here are two things you can do, right now:
- Volunteer! We are actively engaging volunteers and I could use your help. If you’re game to help propel my campaign to the finish line, please sign up.
- Make a contribution to fund the next six weeks of this campaign. I'd love to get to work for this city. You can help make that happen by making a contribution, of any amount.
Thank you.
For the love of Portland,
Kate Snyder
PS - I made a short video for my supporters last night after turning in our most recent fundraising report. Please watch that here.
