Hello John,

During these unprecedented times, it can be hard to remember all the good we’ve accomplished together over the years. Yet as the flames of fear and racism continue to be stoked by a President who has exposed our country’s ugliest side, it becomes even more apparent how critical our work is and has been.

Now more than ever, our movement and industry must stick together, continuing to advocate for housing and racial justice. This is why NPH will continue to host a variety of events this year, designed to solidify and strengthen the affordable housing movement. We’re proud to announce our very own 25th Annual Affordable Housing Leadership Awards, a virtual-yet-connected event taking place on Thursday, April 29 (registration opens late February and we’ll notify you once that happens).

This event will recognize inspiring leaders in our field who have made remarkable and impactful contributions to our affordable housing movement. But we can’t acknowledge these housers without your help!

What We're Looking For

We seek to spotlight diverse and inspiring individuals and organizations that have:

  • Made significant and long-lasting contributions in our field
  • Empowered and inspired the community around them
  • Advanced our work forward with innovation, collaboration, and inclusiveness
  • Strengthened our movement through their advocacy work
  • Centered COVID response and recovery around racial equity

We're also excited to announce a brand new award category: Rising Star. The Rising Star Award recognizes new and emerging professionals -- those who have been in the affordable housing field for less than 10 years. Know someone special who deserves this award? Nominate them now.

If you have any questions about this event, please email Morgan, our Program and Events Associate, at [email protected]

Thank you ahead of time for helping us recognize superb housing leaders, even during these challenging times. No matter what comes our way in 2021, our work can and will continue to make a difference for our communities and neighbors.

Thank you,

Estephanie Sunga
