According to CNN, Democrats are quickly building the momentum they need to fast-track Trump’s impeachment.
In Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s words, “the President chose to be an insurrectionist. How we go forward is a subject for this caucus.”
And as CNN clarifies, this impeachment won’t be anything like the one in 2019, John.
No investigation. “The most likely scenario is that a member brings a privileged resolution to the House floor and offers it during session. A simple majority is enough to impeach the President, which would make Trump the first President to be impeached twice.”
We are as close as we’ve ever been to holding Trump accountable for the pain and suffering he has put this country through for the past four years. But more importantly, to make it clear that attacking our democracy has consequences.
