Friends-

On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I posted a video thanking
the brave men and women who serve and protect our community because
it's important to recognize the people who put their lives on the line
to keep us safe.

That's why I'm introducing legislation in the House of
Representatives to stop state and local governments from raiding federal
funds for police departments.

Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn't see it that
way. <span style="background-color: #ffff00;color: #2b2b2b">She took offense to my support for the police, but I won't give
one inch.</span>

AOC's the architect of the Defund the Police movement, so it's no
wonder that she's started publicly attacking me for my commitment to
law enforcement. I take it as a badge of honor that she disagrees with
me.

As the only Republican representing New York City in Congress, I will
stand strong against one-party Democrat rule which has led to crime
rates soaring, career criminals let loose on the city and $1 billion
being slashed from the NYPD budget.
