Progressive Caucus leader gets COVID from Republicans

[ [link removed] ]Petition: Any House member who refused to wear a mask in Congress
should be fined and physically removed.

Last night, Progressive Caucus leader Pramila Jayapal announced that she
is the second House Democrat to get COVID after being trapped in a room
during the insurrection with Republicans who REFUSED to wear a mask.

And she is furious.

Pramila Jayapal demanded action, saying: [ [link removed] ]"Any Member who refuses to
wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives
because of their selfish idiocy. I'm calling for every single Member who
refuses to wear a mask in the Capitol to be fined and removed from the
floor by the Sergeant at Arms." Sign the petition saying you agree. And
pass this to others.

Jayapal told the back story: "Only hours after Trump incited a deadly
assault on our Capitol, many Republicans still refused to take the bare
minimum COVID-19 precaution and simply wear a damn mask in a crowded room
during a pandemic—creating a superspreader event ON TOP of a domestic
terrorist attack."

Congresswoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman reported similar: "Following the
events of Wednesday, including sheltering with several colleagues who
refused to wear masks, I decided to take a Covid test. I have tested
positive."

Right-wing members of Congress question the election results, question
COVID science, cause riots, hurt colleagues, and these actions kill
Americans. Enough!
