I'm as appalled and angered by last week's events at the Capitol as I'm sure you are. In deciding how to move forward and rebuild as a nation, I want to talk to you about our Senator Marco Rubio who failed us and our democracy last week. I hope you'll let me explain why we need your support to hold him accountable but if you're already with us, you can chip in here.

It's clear Senator Rubio is only looking out for himself. After months of Republican lies about election fraud, he did nothing as members of his own party refused to certify election results -- an act which directly led to the violent insurrection at the Capitol. Even as the Capitol was being swarmed with white supremacists, he was silent.

When did we finally hear from him? Hours after the attack. Why was he silent? He refuses to say but we know why. It was politically inconvenient for him. Even when he finally broke his silence, he refused to condemn Donald Trump. Despite this unprecedented attack on our Capitol from domestic terrorists, Senator Rubio has once again failed to demonstrate any courage in holding members of his own party accountable for their dangerous actions and rhetoric.

Senator Rubio needs to be held accountable and it's clear Florida Republicans won't do that so we need your help. I'm asking personally, can you chip in to help us lead the way?

From threatening Floridians' access to health care to a failed COVID-19 response, Senator Rubio has shown time and again that we can't trust him. He needs to be held accountable. I hope I can count on your support.
