John,
Following last week’s horrific attack on Capitol Hill, millions of Americans are wondering where we go from here –– and how we can make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
Now more than ever, Mike is committed to delivering the level-headed, clear-eyed leadership that the people of Northeast Wisconsin are counting on.
That’s why Mike went on national television over the weekend to offer his perspective on a range of issues –– issues like impeachment, election integrity, and Big Tech censorship. Here’s what Mike had to say on election integrity: "We have to go state by state and clean up the processes for no other reason than to give people confidence in the integrity of our election. Otherwise we're going to go further down this road of everyone distrusting institutions and potentially further down the road of political violence. That is not the direction we need to go. We have to be sensitive to people's concerns, while also not lying to people and being willing to tell them hard truths." On impeachment:
"We need to just hold the country together, which is hanging by a thread right now and avoid further bloodshed and violence, leading up to January 20 and just try and land this plane on a peaceful transition of power...but I think a rushed impeachment right now is not the best approach, particularly when we’re just still recovering.” On Big Tech censorship:
“Anything that further fractures us into separate realities is a bad idea. I think this will be counterproductive....but in no way do I think that the inevitable overreaction of the left should excuse us from taking a hard look at what happened on January 6 and condemning the violence.” Thank you for your support, John –– Mike will continue to stand up for our Constitution and our values, and we’ll continue to keep you updated every step of the way.
Best, Team Gallagher
