There has to be a price to pay for Republican politicians who choose blind loyalty to Donald Trump over protecting our democracy. That’s true from the national stage – where Jeff Van Drew has continued to disgust us – to the state level, where yesterday a vote was held in the Legislature to formally condemn Trump’s actions that led to the U.S. Capitol insurrection.

While no Democrat in the State Senate or State Assembly voted against the Resolution, almost every single Republican either cowardly abstained or actively opposed the measure. They once again put their blind loyalty to Donald Trump ahead of common decency and shared New Jersey values. These Trenton Republicans disgraced themselves at a time when many other members of their own party are finally disowning the Trump disaster. 

Remember, this November, the entire State Legislature will be on the ballot. Make sure to remember these names then, and do whatever you can to defeat every Republican who didn’t stand with democracy, including these enablers who actually voted NO and those who were too scared to stand up to Trump:
