Dear John,
The coming of the new year is a source of hope for many, but for the millions of hungry kids and families in America, 2021 could be just another year of uncertainty.
That’s why we at No Kid Hungry have made it our New Year’s resolution to do whatever it takes to ensure kids in America get the food they need every day, without fail.
After a year filled with challenges, childhood hunger remains at the highest level in recent memory. The latest round of coronavirus relief passed by Congress may come as too little, too late for many families. And long lines at food banks across the country are still everyday sights.
Countless cafeteria and school staff and local organizations across the country are working tirelessly to get meals to those who need them, and thousands of No Kid Hungry supporters like you are helping make that possible. But, even still, our work is far from done.
We set out a decade ago to end childhood hunger in America once and for all. But even as we keep our eyes on the ultimate prize, we remain absolutely committed to making sure that the kids who are hungry today get the food they need. Keeping that fragile food lifeline from breaking is our number one priority.
Thanks for all you're doing to help hungry kids.
And Happy New Year,
|
