NCUA's diversity self-assessments due Friday [ [link removed] ]
Credit unions have until Friday to complete the NCUA's voluntary Credit Union Diversity Self-Assessment for 2020. NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood has encouraged credit unions to complete the assessment to demonstrate their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts and evaluate diversity programs and practices.


What to know about CUAC, BSA advisory group applications in new network post [ [link removed] ]
The CFPB is currently accepting applications from representatives who wish to serve on its Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC). In a new post on the association's Compliance, Risk & BSA Network, NAFCU Senior Regulatory Counsel Kaley Schafer shared how credit union leaders can become more engaged with the CFPB by applying to join the advisory council, as well as details on the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network's (FinCEN) Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group (BSAAG).


CUs: Offer insight on NCUA’s service facility definition modernization [ [link removed] ]
NAFCU sent members a Regulatory Alert Monday outlining the NCUA's proposed rule to modernize the definition of a &quot;service facility&quot; for multiple common bond (MCB) federal credit unions (FCUs).






Consumer credit rises in November; NAFCU expects flat growth in coming months [ [link removed] ]
Total consumer credit rose 4.4 percent in November (seasonally-adjusted, annualized), up 0.4 percent versus a year ago. NAFCU Chief Economist and Vice President of Research Curt Long analyzed the latest numbers in a new NAFCU Macro Data Flash report.


NAFCU's online training, conference savings extended [ [link removed] ]
Savings on subscriptions to NAFCU's Online Training Center and registrations for most 2021 NAFCU conferences have been extended to Friday. Providing credit unions with the best education and training opportunities throughout the year remains a priority for the association.
