Monday Nature Mystery

We are pleased to announce the winner of last week's Monday Nature Mystery, Linda McBride! Please email us your snail mail address and preference for a hat or tote bag to: [email protected]

Congratulations to Linda for correctly identifying American Pipit (Anthus rubescens). Open areas and large fields are the best place to find this winter visitor. Historically about 15 - 20 American Pipits are identified during our Bull Run - Manassas National Battlefield Christmas Bird Count, but this year we had over 300! Way to go ASNVer’s. To learn more about them visit our good friends at All About Birds.

Last Week's Mystery: American Pipit, Ellen Nelson/Audubon Photography Awards
